Jens Eckels sent in news this morning that Yahoo has officially turned down Microsoft’s offer to buy them over the weekend. Yahoo felt the offer undervalued the company, but some have to wonder if this is the result of Google offering to help Yahoo avoid the undervalued buyout by Microsoft?

Is anyone else relieved their Yahoo Mail account and AIM/ICQ accounts aren’t getting merged with Hotmail and MSN Messenger/Live Messenger/Windows Live Messenger/Microsoft Messenger?

Part of me is curious to see how many times Microsoft would have changed the name of Hotmail and Yahoo Mail services before settling on a perfectly good, fucking stupid and completely confusing name… just to change it again in a year.
