For the last couple days you may have noticed that Xbox Live is having issues. Oh sure, everything seems to be working form for a while then all the sudden you and half of your friends all just randomly disconnect from Live. Frankly, I was expecting there to be issues with Xbox Live on Wednesday, November 19th, when the New Xbox Experience releases and everyone tries to download the update. Like past updates I was planning to play single player games for a few days until things smooth back out.
However, it seems with the third wave of New Xbox Experience preview releases last Thursday some issues have started to pop up. Yes, it is only my speculation that the issues are related to the New Xbox Experience Preview, but the timing seems more than coincidental.
For now, if you’re having trouble connecting to Xbox Live and everything normally works fine for you keep an eye on Major Nelson’s Blog or Twitter for updates and the Xbox Live Status page. Other than that there is not much we can do but play single player games and wait it out. If you’re not having any issues with Xbox Live that is great. Keep enjoying your multiplayer matches and hope that you don’t have to join those of us who are getting randomly disconnected.

So that explains it. I picked up Call of Duty: World at War(Great game for the $20 I payed) on Friday and since then I’d randomly get cut off from xbox live. I figured FiOS was acting up so I had heated phone calls with Verizon(which I now feel bad about).
When it would go dead for awhile I assumed the worst and that I may of been banned from xbox live. Obviously I didn’t do anything but you never know.
