The “Break it Down” Blog

One of the new features that came with the “New Xbox Experience” update that went live recently is the ability to install games directly off their source DVDs onto the Xbox 360’s hard drive; for faster load times (in most cases).

Unlike the PS3, the Xbox 360 uses a proprietary hard drive that is roughly 1100% more expensive per-MB of space than a standard desktop hard drive, and most launch Xbox 360’s shipped with either the 20GB hard drive or no hard drive… leaving this new feature to be a bit of a game trying to figure out exactly which titles you love enough to squeeze onto your Xbox 360’s limited drive space.

With an average install size of roughly 6GB per game, deciding which game to install to the hard drive can be tricky and you may want to know ahead of time how much space a game will take up, well, NeoGAF user Sean to the rescue!

Sean has put together a list of a lot of the most popular games out there and their total hard drive install sizes, check it out after the jump (thanks Sean!).
