InternetNews is reporting that next version of Windows (codenamed Vienna) might be coming as early as June of 2009. This had been in the pipeline before XP was released, but what comes as a surprise is this would be almost a year sooner, cutting into the anticipated life cycle of Vista. The information comes from Microsoft’s internal calendar, which seems like a fairly aggressive schedule. But it wouldn’t be the first time that Microsoft missed the target date, Vista was pushed back, why should this be different? It looks as though Vienna is currently in the Milestone 1 build, expected to hit MS3 before going to beta some time in October.
