For all the Wii fans out there that love driving coconut shells and using turtles to solve problems, you aren’t going to care about this. But for the rest of the readers (like me) that bought a Wii at launch and have turned it on a total of 8 times before every single damn game for it is some extension of Mario or some party-game and find those things totally useless…you’ll like this news.

It seems that Platinum Games (published by Sega) is stepping into the Wii arena with the very adult Madworld title due out Q109. Unlike Sadness, this game is actually going to launch and looks wicked gory. It actually looks like an ultra-mature version of No More Heroes… similar cell-shaded/ultra-simple environment style with the color focus on the gore of the game.

Platinum Games is also working on the new Bayonetta title that isn’t due out until ‘09 either… that’s going to be a Wet-esque next-gen platform stylistic shooter it looks like.
