If you don’t have a spiffy PDA phone or have internet access on our celly, you might find yourself calling information for various reasons. Some carriers charge up to $1.25 a call. With Google’s 411 service you can now put a stop to that.

Call 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411) and follow the voice automated prompts and Google will connect you to the buissness free of charge. You can say “Text message” during the call and it will text you the information along with a link (if you have internet access) to the address specified. Voice recognition generally has a tough time with noise in the background, but GOOG411 was able to pickup some of the hardest word like Xavier and Xerox at 65mph on the freeway.
