If you play you’re preferred music game anything like I do, at least 3 or 4 songs a day with longer stretches on the weekend, you’ve probably downloaded a few songs to expand your music gaming library. Both Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero: World Tour have had a pretty steady stream of additional songs available to purchase for 1 or 2 dollars each. I’m really enjoy the additional songs that are available, they greatly extend the amount of life the games have.
That is why announcements like these next are really exciting.
Coming next Tuesday to the Xbox 360 and on Thursday to PSN Rock Band 2 will have 10 new songs available from 5 different bands.
Dead Kennedys 3 Pack!
California Uber Alles
Holiday In Cambodia
Police TruckMission Of Burma 3 Pack!

That’s When I Reach For My RevolverCentury Media Girls of Metal 3 Pack!

Lacuna Coil - Closer
Lacuna Coil - SwampedCrooked X Single!
Crooked X - GoneEach track is available for $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) or $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points) for the complete three pack… EXCEPT for the Crooked X Single, which is only $0.99 (80 Microsoft Points).
Coming a couple weeks later both Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero: World Tour will be getting some new songs from The Killers. Both games are getting their new songs on November 25th to coincide with the release of The Killers new album Day and Age.
You’ll be able to download two singles from Day and Age (”Human” and “Losing Touch”) on World Tour, as well as the classic “Mr. Brightside.”
Representatives of MTV told Wired.com that three Killers songs would appear on the Rock Band music store on the same day: “Mr. Brightside,” Smile Like You Mean It” and “Spaceman,” the latter another new single from Day and Age.

It would be a nice feature if you could preview the songs on Xbox Live prior to purchasing them, or is that already possible and with the new Xbox Live experience I just haven’t figured it out yet?

Bill - I’m not sure about Lips or Guitar Hero: World Tour, but in Rock Band 2 you can preview the songs before purchasing them inside the in game marketplace, but in the actual Xbox Live Marketplace there is not a preview option.
