Shane,

I had trouble with this puzzle as well, my guess is that you have mis-interpreted one of the puzzle symbols in the guide with one of the ones in that room. IIRC I confused the eagle and lion or something like that -- look again really closely and you should get it.

Love the game, but even though I only played it a couple times, I could see that this game, will be a great deal of fun, once I got the hang of the game. I love the format of the game.

there are 3 sections where the sixaxis is employed, not 2. If a mutant grabs you, you need to shake the controller to get free.

Jose,
You mean that part where you are inside the library and there are those 4 pillars that you have to rotate?

You have to check your journal, and in it there is a drawing of the 4 animals that are on the pillars (lion, sheep, whatever, etc.) and they are facing certain directions... like the lion is facing east or something (I'm going from memory, so check your journal to make sure)... then you just grab the pillar for the lion and rotate it so it's facing that same direction... once you do all the animals a door in the wall opens and you walk into the next part.

Hope that helps.

Joonas,
I know exactly the scene you mean, it's inside a church or something... that was brutal and the first time I bumped the difficulty down because after the 5th time retrying, I was no longer having fun... just going crazy.

I also found on that level if that if you try and stay behind cover in 1 location (like I was originally doing) the AI is really smart and will come at you, and circle around and push you out from cover.

I found when I played more aggressively on that section and charged and constantly changed position, I actually had the upper hand.

As for the last fight, that would have been a bear on Normal/Hard, I didn't even bother... but nice job knocking it our yourself.

I played on Normal difficulty and had to retry two scenes a lot - the final level and the big fight where there are two long, opposing staircases, machineguns and lots of cover in the middle, with bad guys coming from all directions.

Obviously all gamers are different, but I found the fighting great - I wouldn't have minded if there was even more of it. The grenade mechanic was a little difficult, but I got used to that, too, pretty quickly. I also found use for the melee attacks right to the end.

StormKlowd,
That is a good point to make, and I will admit after I bumped it down to easy and spent time quickly bursting from cover for a few shots then going back and moving I had a better time of it.

It's funny because in Gears of War and Rainbow 6 Vegas and you can pretty much stay put and just take guys down one at a time, in Uncharted they actually come *at* you, so you always have to keep moving and taking cover.

Out of curiosity, which difficulty level did you play the game on? Did you finish it yet?

I think the end of the game on anything besides Normal would be pure punishment.

On the subject of the missing crosshair while behind cover...If you take note that the cross-hair is always at the exact center of your screen, you can setup your shots pretty well just by centering the enemy on your screen and then popping out of cover. I actually liked this since it added a mechanic of "how close was I?" without the unrealistic perfect line-up of the shot from a perspective where the target should actually be invisible to the player (behind cover).

Anonymous, do you mean the ones you have to rotate? You just grab them and match their position to the ones in your Journal ([Select] key)
