Life & World

In the interest of appearing more transparent, the UK Department of Defense has agreed, over the next 4 years, to trickle out classified documents covering UFO information such as interviews with people that had encounters as well as affirmation of retrieving alien artifacts/devices/etc.

You can find all the documents currently released at the National Archives site.

I’ve had a morbid interest in aliens since I was a kid. It started with shows like Unsolved Mysteries scaring the bleeding-piss out of me to the point that I couldn’t sleep at night and was exacerbated more recently by Signs; a movie I loved and made it impossible for me to go to sleep that night.

One of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had, with regards to UFOs and probably life in general, is getting an opportunity to sit down to a long-long lunch with Colin Andrews. Colin is one of the world’s leading experts on crop circles having researched them for what I think was the last 20 or so years; he was even the expert consultant for the movie Signs.

Besides being a hell of a nice guy, Colin is the type of person that you could listen to talk the entire day, and all you’d want him to do is keep talking.

While Colin openly admits that 98 or 99% of all crop circles are a hoax, it’s that 1 or 2 percent that are not physically possible, that cannot be reproduced and do not make sense that keep him and other researchers going. Forget for a second if you believe in UFOs or not, what if I showed a physical anomaly that seemed impossible to you… would you care about UFOs or would be stricken with a need to know how that anomaly occurred?

Some of the stories Colin had about military intervention in the middle of multi-team stake-outs of an area sent chills up your spine. Endless recounts of film going missing, cameras and resources being seized and other events that made sit up and go “Holy shit…”.

So for the folks out there that eat this stuff up, let’s home there’s something interesting in these UK files. Happy reading!
