The “Break it Down” Blog

No that is not a Mac desktop you are looking at, that’s Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon). While we covered the 7.10 release a few times before, now that it’s officially out, people smarter than me have coughed up some pretty great reviews of it.

Lunapark6 has a in-depth review with a lot of screenshots covering the new desktop aspects of the release, while polishlinux.org did a good overall review of all the steps of all-that-is-Ubuntu-7.10. Have fun!

P.S.> Gnome 2.20.1 just got released, already polishing the desktop farther. If you are running Ubuntu 7.10, keep your eyes peeled for the updater in the top right hand side of your screen for updated packages soon.
