TorrentSpy, one of the world’s most popular Bittorent sites has been ordered by a judge to silently track the behaviors of all US users and for that information to be kicked back to interested parties with huge lobbies in Washington (RIAA / MPAA).

TorrentSpy’s lawyer said that if the ruling goes through, they would simply turn off access to US users to avoid tracking them… although I imagine a sufficiently-funded “donation” from RIAA/MPAA to TorrentSpy would change their minds.

In a way all the government is trying to do is create a “Honey Pot“  to catch criminals… did I say criminals? I meant Joe-computer-user that eats at McDonalds twice a week and makes $35k a year. Which technically, is worse than a child rapist. Thanks RIAA/MPAA!
