For those of you that don’t know, when Half-Life 2 came out, a mod started off back in the day called Gary’s Mod that let you tweak out the physics and spawn things in the in-game engine to mess around in a sandbox style. The mod kept growing until it became part of the official Half-Life tool family and is available for pay-only now from Steam.
The mod has turned into a full-on design tool now and I would be surprised if Gary worked for Valve now, anyway, one of the favorite things of a lot of people to do with the physics engine and Gary’s Mod was to create insanely complex Rube Goldberg machines (overly complex machines that do a simple task – aka that thing at the beginning of Goonies that let’s Chunk in the house).
This video has to be by far the most insane I’ve seen… I can’t imagine how long this took to setup:

This did not deserve this. There are/were MUCH better rube goldbergs in gmod. From an unbiased PoV: It’s crappy anyway, and lacks creativity in alot of places. Moreover, the intro comments the creator put on the video are extremely egotistical and entirely wrong.
