Snarkerati is reporting that McG (Charlie’s Angels director) is being tapped to direct the 4th installment of the Terminator series in a post-apocalyptic setting with Vin Diesel set to play the terminator.

Looks like at one point The Rock was being considered for the role… I’m not sure I love either solution. I really would prefer a lesser-known more stoic actor in this role.

There is a trailer I saw a few months ago for this movie with a hitman in it, played by this huge (6′5″) actor with dark hair. And in the trailer he’s basically this psychopath and takes out his marks but almost never talks. I think he’d be awesome for that role.

Update #1: Found it! The movie I was thinking of was No Country for Old Men, and the actor I was thinking of was Javier Bardem. Common, cut the hair, and you got a crazy Terminator!
