Well it seems that the “initial impressions” thread is turning into an owners thread as ‘Mixdoctor‘ just posted some shots of his new KDS-R70XBR2 that got delivered, the quality is a little low of the pictures, but you can take a look at what the TV looks like both with and with out the speakers on. Notice in the shot with the speakers off, the clear plastic guard rails on the sides, I believe the TV comes with covers to put over them, but I’m not sure (they don’t come off).

Here is definitely the pic you haven’t seen before, or what you couldn’t see. The fact that the 70XBR2 has clear plastic in between the end of the TV and the endcaps……ala XBR plasmas. Check out the floating power, lamp and timer lights !
