The “Break it Down” Blog

Kotaku has the scoop (because Gameplayer AU is dead) on the Saint’s Row 2 details that have emerged as of late. For someone that really enjoyed the original and am happy to see it come back, these deets are looking nice! (Note: SR2 will be a dual-release 360/PS3):

• The game will be adding a full-story co-op multiplayer experience ala Crackdown.
• New vehicles will be available, including planes, helicopters, jet-skis and speedboats (Kotaku notes “And yes, concerned citizens, these planes can crash into buildings”, tasty?)
• Building interiors will also be a new focus of the game, with over 130 throughout a city
• City is 45% larger than Saint’s Row 1 (which felt about the size of Grand Theft Auto 3: San Andreas)

The co-op alone was the biggest omission from #1 ever, the fact that it’s in #2 makes me want to buy it. Then again if Rock Star coughs up co-op in GTA 4 to some capacity… we are all set
