The “Break it Down” Blog

The picture above was fascinating to me because “Big Man” was on the cover of Discovery magazine probably around a year or so ago and for the longest time I thought it was a real person… as well as others that looked at it. To suddenly find out it was a sculpture by Ron Mueck was sort of amazing.

Ron does both huge scale and smaller scale sculptures that I think would just be fascinating to see. For example, some of his larger-scale work would make you feel like you were spending time with an honest to god giant:

While other bits of work are much smaller… but still just as frigging creepy.
