Both Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero: World Tour added some new songs this week to their respective libraries.  Harmonix actually released two different sets of Rock Band 2 songs this week.  One group for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and another for the Wii.

On Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 you can now get:

• Steve Miller Band - “Space Cowboy”
• Steve Miller Band - “Take the Money and Run”
• Steve Miller Band – “The Joker”
• Godsmack - “I Stand Alone”
• Belly – “Feed the Tree”
• Ghost Hounds - “Wind Me Up”
• Mute Math - “Typical”
• Rob Zombie - “War Zone”

All of these tracks are original master recordings and cost $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) per track or $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) for the Steve Miller Band 3-pack.

On the Wii they added these songs for $2 (200 Wii Points) each:

• “March of the Pigs” – Nine Inch Nails
• “The Collector” – Nine Inch Nails
• “Rockaway Beach” – Ramones
• “I Fought the Law” – Clash
• “Margaritaville” – Jimmy Buffett
• “Volcano” – Jimmy Buffett

All of theses songs for the Wii were previously released on the other consoles already. Harmonix realizes that having separate releases for the different consoles is lame and has promised that starting in February, new DLC should be available on all three consoles at the same time. Until then they plan to continue releasing packet of previously released songs on Wii each week until it’s completely synced with those available on Xbox 360 and PS3.

For Guitar Hero: World Tour this week there are 3 new songs as part of the Aussie Track Pack:

• “Tomorrow” by Silverchair
• “Dimension” by Wolfmother
• “Outtathaway!” by The Vines

Each song is $2 (160 Microsoft Points) or you can get all three for $5.50 (440 Microsoft Points)
