Not willing to sit back on their hands while Guitar Hero: World Tour hypothetically hands their ass to them, via a product listing on Amazon, Harmonix has indirectly confirmed that Rock Band 2 will also include a wireless drum set priced at $89.99.
Expected street date of September 14th for Rock Band 2… so this battle-of-the-band-err-game is getting ready to heat up pretty seriously.
Keep in mind that besides the instrument differences, right now Guitar Hero: World Tour is reported to be shipping with a make-your-own-music creation tool while Rock Band 2 will have no such feature. Really not sure how Guitar Hero is going to get around the legal implications of this, but if they can, that’s a pretty serious win.

The only thing I know they’re doing to combat some legal ramifications is not supporting the vocals feature in their song creation.

Do you have a link handy? I never heard more about this and was expecting to, especially with E3 come and gone. This is a great find though, thanks for the heads up on it.
