Really? Illinois… seriously? 2 days detention for a hug?

District Superintendent Sam McGowen said that he thinks the penalty is fair and that administrators in the school east of St. Louis were following policy in the student handbook.

Ahhh… Johnny Brain Basket thinks the penalty is fair, you know, given the infraction… actually if we are fucking common sense right out the window, why don’t we give Megan the chair? Or tie rocks to her, throw her in the water and see if she floats? You know… cause the punishment has to match the crime.

If you can get detention for bringing a weapon to school, fighting, bullying, cheating… I think hugging should go right into the same category. Or better yet, bump it right up into the same category as rape.

What do you guys think? Do you think this level of retardation is a side effect of the lawsuit-happy society we live in? Classify physical contact as “against school policy” so spanks on the ass, high fives, hugs and kissing in the halls can all be handled with a black-or-white policy that is lawsuit-friendly?

I think so… after all, schools are miniature prisons meant to raise your kids for you… so you don’t have to worry about the little fuckers!
