Ted Regulski sends in news of simply “This is why you own a PS3″ then points to the NeoGAF thread with the new released screenshots for Resistance 2 are.

Given what Insomniac did with Resistance: Fall of Man, and the expertise they showed to create the best launch title for the PS3, then following that up with Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and winning unofficial “best looking game of 2007″ awards from many reviewers out there… I’m pretty damn excited to see what they do with Resistence 2.

For one we already know they are topping the 40-player death match from the 1st game with 60 player death match (jesus… how?!) and also an 8 player co-op mode to boot… I think it’s safe to say the PS3 is started to stretch it’s legs a little bit… and beat the shit out of the XBox 360.
