Robert Heron sent in a pretty cool link over to the Beyond3D forums where a list of popular games and their true rendering resolutions were given.
For Reference:
- 1080p = 1920×1080
- 720p = 1280×720
Here’s a snippet as an example:
- Army of Two = 720p (no AA, downscaled to 685p with black borders, no adjustable border)
- Call of Duty 4 = 1024×600 (2x AA)
- Condemned 2 = 1280×720 (no AA)
- Devil May Cry 4 = 1280×720 (2xAA, temporal)
- Fifa Street 3 = 1920×1080 (no AA)
- GT5 Prologue (demo) = 1280×1080 (2x AA)
- Guitar Hero 3 = 1040×585 (no AA)
- Jericho (demo) = 996×560 (2x AA)
- Lost Planet = 1280×720 (no AA)
- Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction = 1280×704 (2xAA, centered on 720p output)
- The Darkness (demo) = 1024×576 (no AA)
- Turok = 1280×720 (no AA)

I was surprised that a lot of these were so low… sorta of like when it came out that Halo 3 renders at some 640p shit or something like that:
