I was scrolling through some PS3-game reviews on GameSpot and noticed that the PS3 releases of the XBox 360 titles are all getting high 8s and 9.0 reviews.

High PS3 Game Scores

I’m chalking this up to extra dev time and spit/polish time by the developers, but it’s certainly nice to see. Then again, when a game like Overlord comes out that I want to play, but doesn’t have a dual-release on both platforms… I’m always tempted… the two things keeping me from buying it for the 360 is that Microsoft hardware is a piece of trash (along with Support) and I don’t want to stick $100s of eggs in that basket so to speak and knowing that the game may make a PS3 release in a few months and be much more polished.

I’m already aware of some Triple-A 360 titles coming out this year that will have unannounced PS3 releases a few months later that include all the additional content that you will have to pay for on the 360.

That’s the other frustrating thing… Microsoft is requiring developers to make a go of the XBL Marketplace by shipping games missing pieces, and then requiring games to buy that content over XBL to add to the games… thankfully (so far) all the PS3 releases of these games have seen all the additions already added to the games with no need to rebuy the same content over.
