I got the screen above today when I was goofing around with XviD4PSP 5.0… not too shabby, it’s almost 2200% done processing my file. That’s a lot of… done.

On a more serious note, I don’t think this program expects you to ever try and resample a DVD for your PSP… just opening a movie file invokes a metadata read cycle, then an indexing cycle, then a caching cycle that all together takes like 10mins on a 2.3ghz Dual-Core machine.

I don’t even want to think what process next-gen media (Blu-ray, 1080p media) is going to be like for folks wanting to rip their movies to smaller devices for at least 4 more years… until a quad-core 8ghz machine is a bargain machine.
