PS3 Firmware 2.4 to be released Wednesday, July 2nd

PS3 users rejoice! VE3d is reporting that PS3 firmware 2.4 (trophies/in game XMB) will be released this Wednesday.

Additionally, the Playstation Blog has two video demonstrations - In Game XMB and The Trophy System.

The first game to support trophies will be Super Stardust HD.

Other first party games that will be patched to support trophies are:

  • BUZZ! Quiz TV
  • LittleBigPlanet
  • MotorStorm Pacific Rift
  • NBA 09 PS3
  • PAIN
  • PixelJunk Eden
  • Resistance 2
  • SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation
  • Warhawk
