Looks like no 3rd party applications for the Apple iPhone. Not sure how smart it was to make this device use-only, and not a hacker-dream come true. There is always the appeal of the getting the community behind a device, and with something this appealing to develop for I could certainly see it exploding among techies developing custom widgets and so on.
That being said, I can understand Apple’s desire to lock down the device so they could control the device entirely (black box == more control over bugs, etc.) I’m just wondering the opportunity loss here…
