Holy shit... that's a lot of sharing-of-hosting going on at 1and1

I'm amazed at the price when you look at hosting that has a reputation for *not* overselling... it's always like 2x the price of whatever the big-advertised-cheapo hosting cost is.

Thanks for the domaintools link, that's cool.

Ha. Thanks for the link :-) I've had always used domaintools.com to find stuff like that out :-)

It's weird... on domaintools it says 171 sits but on dnscoop it says 91. It's still better compared to 1and1 :-) I had a site on there a long time ago and it said 1,381... lol.

Trey,
I'm glad to hear they added new hardware to the issue. My sites have been fine since then, but I've also done a lot of optimization at the same time, so it's probably 2 fold.

Also it's fun sometimes to use dnscoop.com to see how many other sites are hosted on your same grid... I had 62 other sites hosted on my grid a few months ago, yesterday it was up to 89.... I doubt *that* is good :(

They had a problem with the grid. According to them they added more resources so everything should be speeding up fine. 2 days ago my site was at a crawl and what was worst was my email wasn't loading. (mt) is still probably one of the best and most respected host around though.

camel0,
I am glad to hear that things are going faster now. I have my fingers crossed that it makes it through the morning crush without incident tomorrow and that the issues have been resolved for the time being.
