The “Break it Down” Blog

Ran across this excellent survey of thousands of writeups about installing different Linux distrobutions on all different types of laptops. I’m thinking of getting a ThinkPad T60 or the Core 2 Duo update after the T60 and was really curious how Ubuntu did. It was really easy to click the ThinkPad series and then scroll down to the T60 to see the results of all the major distrobutions out there and even how to get the finger print scanner working.

Another excellent source I found during this process was the ThinkWiki wiki. This is a Wiki setup exclusively for ThinkPad users and has a *ton* of information about ThinkPads and Linux but also some tips for Windows folks as well. Over all I was really impressed with how comprehensive the wiki is, it seems very well kept and updated often.
