Our friend Grant has been complaining for a couple of weeks on how long it takes to sync his iPhone, and the newly released update 2.1 offers no help. It seems as though many people are having the same problem. But this takes the cake….. for Brandon Lusk it takes 8 hours!   Seriously Apple?

And Apple, WHERES OUR COPY/PASTE AND MMS!???!!!??!

I Garauntee You, that this will fix your Sync issue. I want you to re-download the iphone 2.1 software and do a complete restore on the phone. But the Key is to make a brand new backup and not to restore from a previous backup. The only downside is that you will lose your text messages, and notes, but the notes you can email to yourself. Just manually put everything back on your iphone, and it will work fine. And if you want to do even a more clean install like me. I delete and redownload all my applications, well except the ones that have been removed off the app store that you can’t get again. I garauntee that will solve your 8 hour backup problem and make it a 1 to 2 minute backup. Just a 411, never do an upgrade. It is just like every operating system, a clean install is always better.
