I Am the Greatest Photographer Alive

Life & World

I totally took this picture this weekend using a Canon G9… I’m probably the best photographer that ever lived:

Cactus Flower

This was during a hike up at Sanctuary Cove… the desert can really be beautiful if you learn to look for the little things in it. I could have done without all the bugs, but everything was in bloom so I can’t really blame them.

There is something peaceful about the desert, and I think it’s because you can see so far in every direction. When you’re in a forest, it’s got certain unique properties as well, but you can’t see very far in any particular direction… and every time you hear a noise you figure it’s an animal or something else coming to get you.

In the desert you can just relax and know that at any moment, a rattle snake is likely going to bite you in the ankle.

Happy Hiking!

Thanks Manny. I had to learn how to shoot stuff with “bokeh” (it’s the cool-photography-term for ‘depth of field’)… I am thinking about writing a quick “i’m retarded with photography, how do I learn?” quickstart because I really know nothing about it, but can occassionally tick off some nice looking pictures.
