With the New Xbox Experience and its Mii like Avatars releasing this week a lot of people are spending countless hours tweaking their Avatars to get them just how they like them.  Personally, I wish their were more options for clothing to wear, but Microsoft has said more will be coming soon.  It is only a matter of time until clothing packs are releases for 100 or 200 (possibly more) Microsoft Points, but at least the first few will be free.

Xbox Germany product manager Boris Schneider-Johne confirms on his blog:

“More costumes will be made available for free in the next weeks. What’s going to happen as of spring is yet to be announced. If you spot Avatars that wear clothes not yet available in the Avatar Editor, those belong to beta testers who were allowed to test ALL the new clothes beforehand (for instance my chic Xbox Jersey).”

Even with the small set of clothing currently available you can set yourself apart with new hair color that starts off hidden.  To access the nine hidden hair colors go into the Avatar Editor and then click on My Features.  Just sit on that screen for a few minutes and the Hairstyles menu item rotates.  Once it does you will have access to the new colors.
