Cuddling Cats

Well it’s 2008 and we are all still here. If you want to post with what your New Year’s resolution was I’d be thankful.

Mine is to “live in the now”… which means more than it sounds like. Check out “The Power of Now” for an excellent book that discusses living “in the now”.

happy 2008 to you too :)

like you i also “live in the now” (with a twist: to focus on the future), so not only live the good things, im also not afraid anymore to experience the bad “now”.

not being afraid to experience both good and bad things “today” is what makes us better and stronger persons “tomorrow”.

so in conclusion my resolution is: “experience today to live better tomorrow”

it’s something I’ve been doing from mid 2007, but will be my real resolution for this new 2008.

it’s progressive: for me both good and bad experiences are “good”, every day is worth it :)

Manny, I *really* liked your reply specifically because of the “not afraid of experiencing bad things anymore” part… that is so critical to grasp before you can begin living your life and my 2007 resolution was “to fail more”… so I wouldn’t be so scared of it.

When you are scared of failure… you just don’t want to do anything, in order to “stay safe”.

Keep kicking ass and enjoying life!

Exactly right… which makes me *sorta* mad… but not mad enough to protest.

And besides, boobs are good for you ;)
