At first, I thought it was just me… getting multiple calls a day, at 7am to 7pm calls from “News” and the phone number 1-314-963-8895 popping up on my Caller ID.

No problem, I’ll just ignore it…

6 months later, it’s still happening… all the fucking time. I decided to finally Google this number and see if I could find some obscure forum post someone that would explain who these people were and what they wanted.

I didn’t find an obscure post, but instead found 100s of comments by folks that were getting calls all over the US from the same number!

As many of the people mentioned, answering the phones only results in a hang-up by the automated system. Also calling the number back does nothing as the line rings and rings and rings, and never stops.

Some of the comments said the number is associated with PISA Group (The PISA Group, Inc.) who was hired by a Texas Newspaper to sell more subscriptions. Some other folks said they asked to stop being called and all PISA does is just call them back; business as usual.

A commenter, Wes, probably gave the best suggestions:

I filed complaint with FCC and State Attorney General’s office. I also filed complaint with local BBB against Pisa Group AND the newspaper who hired them…

Probably not a bad idea if you are being harassed by the PISA Group as well.
