Jumping out of the gate to a rocky start, Google’s Android was reported as being a “good start” but garnered plenty of complaints from folks that wanted to dive in head first and expected to fine a fully mature product.

Most of the complaints centered around the lack of public issue tracking and feedback loop for the Android team, but the folks that did dive in found some inconsistencies and confusing design decisions in the API.

MocoNews reports that Google is saying a major revision to the API will be released soon that incorporates much of the feedback they have been receiving. It’s nice to see the platform advance and mature as quickly as it is. I think Google will continue to be an excellent steward for this platform as they take it forward past the initial 1.0 devices and stream line them further for 2.0 devices and beyond.
