Does anyone else agree with GameSpot’s Brian Ekberg that Batista should play Marcus Fenix? I totally agree:

Yeah, Baird is a fag. Wahlberg could actually be Baird, even though i like Wahlberg as an actor. I don’t like The Rock being Dom, doesn’t look much like him. Really not sure who to use….Kim, who was the leader of CoG, could be Kurt Angle. They look pretty well alike and sound near same.

You know what i see happening in the movie…
its TTT takin cover shootin at some locusts and then one of the locust nearly gets a shot at him…and then
TTT-Aw hell no sucka!
He stands up from his spot and the locust reloding….
TTT-(Shifts his feet)Jet Razor Jet Razor! GET READY FOR THE PAIN WOMEN THE COLE TRAIN IS COMIN!! WHOOO WHOOO! WHOO WHOO!
and then BOOM tackles a locust onto the ground leaving its back broken then the other gears shoot the 2 locust that were standin next to the one cole tackled but theirs one more TTT stands up and just when the locust bout to fire Click click out of ammo….

PwningYou, Rhames’s voice is too deep/mellow to play Cole, screaming out lines like “Here comes the TRAIN BABY!”, he could do it, but it would sound forked.
I think Rhames is better at playing mellow/badass/calm guys. We need someone animated for Cole.

PwningYou as much a i like Tyrese i dont think hed be as energetic or as bulky as Lester Splight (Terry Tate). He’s got the engry hes already got the look, quite frankly i dont think anyone else could play cole except the guy who did the voiceover for cole but if he were not to do it then Yeah Tyrese would be my second choice…
and on that note i was on GAMESPOT yesterday for like an hour and from what i saw some of the actors people DIDNT wanna see in the movie an i saw Vin Diesel and Colin Farrel….wat u guys think???

Darkboy, I agree. I wouldn’t want to see either of them in that movie, unless Farrel was like some sort of auxiliary character… there is no way he’s bad-ass enough to play Fenix. We need someone hard-core. Although I suppose if Ferrel put on like 40lbs of muscle he could play Dom with smart-ass replies and stuff between him and Baird…
I really do think that Batista is the best pick for Fenix and Tate is the best for Cole.
Dom and Baird, I’m up in the air about… I think a few people could play them decently.

Darkboy, so far I think we have:
* Batista: Markus Fenix
* Cole: Terry Tate / Mighty Rasta
* Baird: MAYBE Ryan Reynolds for sas-reasons
We didn’t make it much farther past that… then everyone just started talking about how awesome Batista is (can’t argue there).
I don’t think we really settled on Dom and as for the asian captain guy, I was actually thinking of the dude that played Bruce Lee in that early 90s movie about Bruce Lee… I think his name is Jason Lee? His English is sort of broken I think, which won’t work though.
As for the captain that we only see a few mins of in the game (the one that hates Fenix), I was thinking Ironside was a good choice for that.
Anya, or whoever the girl is, anyone with a nice “Radio voice”… the girl that plays Veronica Mars is cute (name slips my mind)… I think it would make the Anya role seem more femanine the smaller/more petite the lady is that plays it, given HOW HUGE the Gears guys are. So you’d get that whole “we’ll protect you” vibe going between the antagonists.
Are there any characters left I missed?

Cool website… they look like they do a good job designing that stuff.
However… if THAT GUY plays Marcus, or acts professionally in any movie besides another demo movie for their own products, I will hang myself with my own goddamn belt.

I don’t know if Ron Pearlman would work because he delivers such stiff one-liners and looks a little young with the curly hair.. maybe if they gave him that long hair and face scars so you couldn’t really tell ti was him, it would work?
