Being a long time fan of X-Men and Wolverine comics I was excited to read the Jaunary issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly’s interview with Dan Vondrak the Project Lead for  X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Vondrak admits what anyone who played the previous Wolverine games already knows, Wolverine is not nearly as cool in game as he is in the comics.  Mostly because it is hard for the game to portray how strong, tough, and agile he is in the comics. Plus, most previous developers don’t let you really go crazy as Wolverine and destroy everything and kill everyone. Vondrak claims that with X-Men Origins: Wolverine nothing is holding them back from making a Wolverine game that really represents the character. Having read that article a month ago I still only had a little hope that the X-Men Origins: Wolverine game would not just be another crappy movie based game. However, now that I’ve seen the trailer I’m starting to have a little hope that this Wolverine game might actually be good. What does everyone else think? Can Raven Software make a game featuring Wolverine that does the character justice?
