Ok so let’s say you have a lot of auctions to post (like I do) and you want to save some money so you decide to use the “Host your Own” picture hosting option. I personally have a SmugMug account and love it, so I’m going to use that instead.

Go ahead and setup your entire auction with the slide show and bam, post it. Only to find out that eBay will only show your pictures in a little 150×150 slide show at the top of the auction, and then will only show the first picture at the bottom of the auction with no way for the people to see bigger versions of the other photos. NICE.

This on top raising prices because apparently printing money isn’t making them rich fast enough and rolling out their new sell an item wizard that I was able to find 4 bugs in within the first 5 mins of using it (subtle bugs, but kept me from continuing, I had to re-create the auction).

What choice do I have though? Their market dominance and coverage doesn’t provide much in the way of alternatives.
