Andrew, actually I had a question for you... I imagine at this point your guys is leveled up pretty high, can you blast through most portions of the game now just bare-handed or is it still hard and you have to dodge mobs of zombies?

I noticed as I leveled my character I was having more and more fun just mangling them but didn't level high enough to really be "invincible". Especially down in the parking garage area...

Andrew,
This post wasn't a review, it was leaked information before the game was ever released... that's why the word "review" was never used in the post.

The *actual* review of the game is here:
http://www.breakitdownblog.com/dead-rising-review/

and I actually agree with you, I enjoyed the game a lot. I don't know that your crazy-internet-rant-style was necessary, but either way I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Pretty biased review. You've yet to fully experience the game, and yet you're so damn confident that it sucks.

Well, in my opinion, the game is absolutely fantastic. "Gamers" that can't suck up a bit of their pride, and enjoy a game in its entirety for what it truly is are nothing more than whiney, close-minded fags.

Yeah, the AI's a little flawed. But it's also pretty extreme to go as far as "people are completely useless without you"... Right...

I beat 72-hour mode. Overtime mode. And have owned the shit out of Infinity mode. And I can still honestly say that this game's difficulty is at the perfect level. What the fuck is a game without some frustration? You wanna just breeze your fuckin' way through the level? You want to absorb what little excitement there is in a hack n' slash game? Then go buy Castlevania, or Untold Legends, and shut the fuck up.

Anywho, waste of fuckin' time reading this bull-shit rant. Goddamn tags always refer people to the gayest of web blogs... And considering that this article has had... three comments before me, proves that your page is no better. Good luck endulging yourself in the world of "gaming". Maybe someday, you'll show signs of developing a brain, and dare I say... enlighten yourself.

You nailed it, the issue here is that the core of the game is OK, but when they mix in the *retarded* save system to make the game last longer, and then strap ontop of that basically an endless set of rescue missions AND then throw a timer ontop of that, I just don't see the fun in the game. I see how they *tried* to make it challenging, but not the fun in that.

You're dead on. I'm returning this POS game. Annoying time based system. Stupid save system in the world. Weapons pretty much act the same, and there's no combos. So it's just whack whack whack. After a bit, it gets boring. And yes, the missions are run around and rescue idiots who just get ripped to shreds.

[...] Well it’s here, log into XBox Live (XBL) and start the downloads going. Some of the initial reactions are mostly positive. If it turns out to be fun I’ll have to eat my original assessment of the game for dinner. [...]
