Manny,
I know what you mean. Back in the day when there was 1 epic RPG a year, I wanted it to be 100+ hours... now that there are atleast 1 great game released every month I want every game to be like 8hrs and that's it; maybe with some nice co-op.

I got addicted... like crazy-addicted to WoW for about 6 months, if you've never played it and tend to get addicted to well-designed games (like the first time you played Counter Strike you couldn't put it down, etc.) then you will probably love it. There isn't a ton of story, it's mostly just grinding but it's so polished and filled with fun challenges that it really is sort of timeless.

If you need a game with a solid story, I found Mass Effect to be good with a pretty sweet story, but Knights of the Old Republic 1 was *Excellent*. Although the graphics might be a bit dated now.

I'm looking most forward to <a href="http://www.breakitdownblog.com/diablo-iii-20-min-gameplay-video/" rel="nofollow">Diablo III now</a>, but who knows when that will come out.

I pretty much pass on all shooters now unless they are really gory/polished, like Gears of War. Just too much similarity.

And RPGs... I love them, but it's really hard for me to mentally say "Ok, I'm in this thing for 50+ hrs, let's do this!"

i think am getting too old to play the latest and greatest (the most hyped)

am trying to take it slowly :p

and being an RPG fan i still have literally hundreds (from every console) i want to finish... :O

OMG am still stucked on FFX's last boss :/

and had X2 and XII collecting dirt for a while..

back in the good old days things were so much simple lol

too many games, not much time! *pulls hair*

maybe i should do what everyone is doing:

As usual you are spot on Manny.

Crysis is a case of a "game" that had the money of EA behind it when infact it really wasn't a game as much as a glorified tech demo.

If you've ever gotten a chance to play through, it's got the gameplay elements of shooters from 1999/2000... not trying to be insulting but I'm not kidding, even when Far Cry came out it wasn't revolutionary gameplay, it just *looked* a lot better than most games and Crysis is identical to Far Cry (single man army, go click this button, blow this radar up, go to this waypoint, etc. etc.)

There are no RPG elements, no real story and man does it get repetitive half way through. I read that in a lot of reviews but still caved and got it and see exactly what the reviewers meant.

Oh well... it is amazingly pretty, I'll give them that ;)

booo for re-playability...

i can't believe people just purchase this only to push their pc to the limits. Most can't even see all the gorgeous graphics they "paid" for because they have to play it in mid or low settings..

for lan parties is worst game as almost no one has the pc to play this, so no multiplayer.

crysis will never become a classic like like half life, quake and UT

i consider it a tech demo :p

heck, i still find the ps2, gamecube and wii to have ok graphics =)
