For the readers that remember the “Crysis Extreme Physics” post from a few weeks ago, here’s a new one to whet your appetite:

Just a reminder, this isn’t a movie recorded at real time. The processing power required to actually calculate all those physical bodies is something that no PC can do right now.

The actual How-To of recording something like this, frame-by-frame, in Crysis can be found here. The user also provides a link to the Crysis in-game editor used as well.

One thing that I did think of watching this, is that I cannot wait for the way when something like this can be rendered in real-time… the environments, weather effects and just world that can be created would be insanely fun.
