FEAR.net had an interview with Cloverfield’s new golden-boy director, Matt Reeves, in which they asked about a sequel. Reeves commented on how much fun they had with the movie and as far as a sequel was concerned:
We’ll just have to see, we’ll have to see whether or not anyone would even want a sequel. We’ll see how the movie does. If the movie does well, and if there becomes a compelling reason to do so, I think it would be fun to do a sequel.
Given that the movie pulled in $46 million this weekend, I’d have to guess there will be a sequel… even if they don’t want to do one

there better not be a sequal That film is shit, $45 mil well that goes to show that hpe really work and yes I was a sucker as well , dont see it save youre money , go and rent an old Godzilla film from Blockbuster its much better and will probably make you laugh. Message for JJ Abrahms . Dont make another one of these shit films ever again. Tonight Ive been robbed of a cinema fee to watch this piece of rubbish, just stick to Lost okay
