+1, I loved it. The depiction of "what would it look like if this insane thing happened" I thought was really awesome.

I enjoyed it for the most part. Its kinda funny that you are all complaining about how unlikly this is or that is when you miss how unlikely it is that a f'''in monster just shows up an goes loco roco on manhatan.

besides that i have no other issues other than the fact that i want closure.

Homer, how could you be a fan of LOST and *expect* a clear, concise, non-cryptic story from JJ Abrams? That's like... the only thing he's capable of writing.

That being said, I obviously loved the movie and love LOST

This is crap. It really is. How can the same man JJ Abrahms be a part of this and produce a brilliant TV show like Lost. Godzilla on a low budget an no story and everyone dies , so its crap no real closure just rub everything out. Please don't waste a single penny on this this unless you are stupid and like to be robbed of money because i was when I payed for the ticket to watch this crap unknowing to me that it was so bad, there are loads of good films out there, this isnt one of them, It really really isnt.

It was the name of a street by J.J. Abrams house, and it was the code-name they used during pre-production to keep the movie secret, then they ended up keeping it.

There were a lot of "code names" for the movie during development, you can see them all here, they are:

Also Known As (AKA)

04-05 Japan (promotional title)

06-02-08 France (promotional title)

1-18-08 USA (promotional title)

Cheese USA (fake working title)

Clover USA (fake working title)

Cloverfield - Monstro Brazil

Monstrous USA (promotional title)

Monstrum Czech Republic

Monstruoso Spain

Slusho USA (fake working title)

Untitled J.J. Abrams Project USA (working title)

if you've ever been to Columbus circle, there's a huge shopping center directly above the train station, and midtown is hugely residential especially on the west side, and since ground zero for the monster, the actual "cloverfield" site, is close to central park/columbus circle, it would make sense for a triage center to be placed underground right outside of where the monster is acting since at this point in the movie the army was not under hammer down protocol
