Life & World

Dale Chihuly is a blown-glass artist. He had one of his exhibits at the Missouri Botanical Gardens that ends January 1st, 2007 and I got to see it… overall pretty cool, not really my bag though. The video on how the glass is made is probably the most interesting part.

He did spend months integrating the glass into the gardens themselves, to make them look like plants and so on which was cool though. Have a look:

Chihuly does amazing things with glass. I had the good fortune to be able to shoot his exhibit “Glass In The Garden” at the Missouri Botanical Garden, and it was one of the most amazing exhibits I’ve seen. His forms at once alien and wonderfully organic, they were the perfect ornament for a beautiful garden.
