Life & World

AutoblogGreen has the scoop on the new Chevy Volt (think of a mini version of the sporty Cadillac) that can get up to 40miles on a single electric charge, can recharge in 6 hours, and with gas or ethanol can run up to 640 miles on a single tank. Those are some pretty incredible stats and versatility… nice job Chevy.

AutoblogGreen has a ton more shots as well.

The one concern I have about these cars and other battery-based solutions is loosing your 0-point in a battery this size and the lifetime on something like this. What do you do when you loose the zero point in your flashlight batteries? You replace them! What happens when you loose the zero-point in your 500lbs battery sitting in the back of your car? I have no idea :(
