Sony has been making the PSP cooler and cooler with each firmware update for both it and the PS3 this year. First we had streaming media/TV from PS3 to PSP, then we had streaming games believe it or not, then we got Skype support on the frigging PSP and now Sony has dropped the hammer on downloading Blu-ray movies from the PS3 to the PSP to boot!
It’s like Sony was waiting to suddenly make the PS3 & PSP combo the most compelling tech combo of the year until 2008. With the added excitment of 2008 becomming the year of the PS3, it looks like having a PSP is going to be a nice added perk to that.
One thing I’d love to see before I got a PSP: Cartridge-based games. Disk-based media in those shitty little containers… good god, that wasn’t smart.
