If you missed your chance to get into the World at War closed beta, Activision has you covered.  You can sign on to Xbox Live right now and download the beta. Many believe this is a response to reports that beta keys were never received and that they did not work as promised.

I spent some time with the beta and the game seems very solid.  It should be said that it’s basically Call of Duty 4 with a different skin and gore.  This shouldn’t be seen as a knock against the game but if you prefer killing your friends with a P90 and not a Thompson; you might want to stick with Modern Warfare’s online.

I however love World War 2 weapons so I’ll probably be playing World at War for a very long time.
