Barak Obama Buys Ads in Burnout Paradise

Gaming, Technology

Pretty interesting sign of times to come… Robert Heron sent in a tidbit about Obama’s campaign having purchased ad-space inside of the Burnout Paradise game available on both Xbox 360 and the PS3.

In-game advertisements are nothing new, EA started dabbling in the Rainbow Six series years ago, but I think this is the first time it’s been used by politicians.

Should we expect “VOTE YES ON 201!” signs soon as well? It’ll surely make the landscape of games with in-game advertising interesting in election years.
