		<description>Totally agree... Amazon and Google, two companies I think really operate in an optimized fashion.

A few years ago when Amazon launched their computing platforms (S3, EC2) I was scratching my head trying to figure out what in the world a retail store was doing launching computing services... but after I saw it in action it dawned on me that Amazon was not going to be just another online etailer, they really wanted to &quot;Google&quot; things up and become a major online player in every regard.

I&#039;m constantly impressed with how much R&amp;D they do over there, some really smart dev teams work on this stuff... which allows people a lot less smart than them to blog about it and virtually pat them on the back :D</description>
