Wow what caused that to happen? Amazon has been down for about 20mins, came back up briefly and is dead again right now around 11:08am PST.

S3 and EC2 both seem to be running fine though, so maybe it’s just the store front? I wonder what caused Amazon to go down that wouldn’t/doesn’t effect eBay or Google… (nothing takes down Google!)

I’m not saying I know what caused it to go down… I’m just saying in Cloverfield, the monster did get woken up by super-deep-sea underwater drilling and broke some communication lines (Cloverfield backstory)… so it’s possible it’s the same thing:

Update #1: 2mins later Amazon seems to be fine… I guess she didn’t destroy the entire server room.

Update #2: Can’t you just imagine that the fat pile of shit pictured above has a name like “Kiki”, “Red” or “Diarrhea Face”?

Update #3: Amazon is back down… there is a war going on over there…
