It started when the first 3 underwater internet cables were cut by “boat anchors” (even though that had never happened in the histories of the cables before… and now it happened 3x in 3 days) then reports came in about the 4th cable getting taken offline due to “power issues” and now Robert Heron sends in news that Bruce Schneier is talking about the 5th line having some faultiness to it and out of this entire mess, one giant coincidence has been that Iran was taken offline completely.
As Schneier points out, this is all a bit convenient, that this mess of “disconnects” keeps happening and the end result is that everyone else reroutes traffic through other countries and satellites while Iran is taken completely offline. Bush/Cheney already tried to sell that Iran has a nuclear program but got caught in that lie, now this happens.
Anyone want to take a guess at what is going to happen in Iran either covertly or publicly for the next 9 months before the elections? After all Bush has to leave his legacy doesn’t he?

Cutting off Iran from YouTube = War? I think the Martian invasion theory is more plausible.

Moo, not sure if that was a joke or not, but cutting a countries communication infrastructure is certainly more serious than missing YouTube.

Iran wasn’t offline as of last night but I didn’t check today (2/7/08). It would indeed suit Geedubahya to remain dictator, but he (they) may decide to wait until after election day to determine that action. If say, Ron Paul wins, surely the elites will not idly stand by and let the world slip through their talons. But, Cheney and his boys really can’t wait to use their BIG toys, not for too much longer anyway… anyway, just Pray.
