This exchange will allow other countries to buy oil from OPEC nations in euros rather than dollars. This is a big step to debunking the dollar as the worlds reserve currency. When that happens other countries will no longer have a need to hold US dollars in their central bank reserves and will exchange the dollars for investments or capital in the US.
